Board game on light pollution

A journey through the bright night

Playful learning even if the topic is very sober? Together with my children Benjamin (10) and Viviane (8) have I designed a board game on the impact of light pollution on nature. For some life forms it is useful, others are harmed by the additional light. In many cases w don’t now yet how light influence an animal of plant species. If you want to learn more about this, you can read the information booklet, where you can also find tips on a better way to use light. All information in this game are based on the scientific knowledge of 2024.

So far, the game is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese,Hebrew, Romanian, Catalan, Galician, and Esperanto. This is possible thanks to some wonderful people (Amir Weinstein, Andreea Nasturel, Chiara Carucci, Daniel Gliedner, Daniela Gonzàlez, Enric Marco, F. Vohla, H. G. Kaiser, Heike Roloff, Martin Pawley, Raul Cerveira Lima, Rosa Magraner, Theo Jurriens) spending time translating it. If you want to translate the game into another language, please contact me.

The game consists of either 4 A4 pages to position next to each other as is shown on the picture below or one A2 page. You also need game pieces and a die.

You can download this game, share it with other and put a link to this page on your page. The more people see this game, the better. But please don’t sell or change the game without talking to me first, and please mention your source. Any feedback you want to give is welcome!
